Blue Tulip Bracelet

Blue stones with green ones set between them is the arrangement here, and the green is doing the job of leaves rather than competing as a second colour. Deep blue ovals carry the length of the waved gold-tone chain, with marquise greens angled between them like a stem line.

Blue and green together used to be a pairing people avoided. It reads as natural now, mostly because it is what actually happens in a garden, and against warm gold plating the two cool colours have something to push against.

This is the darkest of the three tulip bracelets, which makes it the evening one. Deep blue disappears in low light and then catches sharply under a lamp, so it does more in a lit room than a pale stone does.

The box clasp is where anti-tarnish plating pays off. Fingers find the clasp every time it goes on and comes off, and skin oil at that one spot is what turns ordinary plating coppery while the rest of the chain still looks fine. This base holds through that handling.
