The teardrop swings. That is the difference between a nath that reads as a stud with a hoop attached and one with some life in it, and it is what you notice first when the head turns.

The hoop is pavé-set all the way along its curve, with a small flower at the base where the drop hangs. Silver-plated brass gives the bright white finish, with clear cubic zirconia doing the sparkle. Not silver, despite the name on the listing.

It fastens with a screw, so it is for a pierced nose. A screw fitting is the more secure of the two common options and it does not work loose through a night of dancing the way a push fit sometimes does. It also takes a moment longer to put in, which is a fair trade.

Naths photograph larger than they wear. This one is small on the face and clear in a photo, which is the right way round for a wedding or a mehendi day where most of the record is somebody's phone.

Silver plating over brass wants a dry cloth after wear. Nose jewellery meets more skin oil than anything else in a jewellery box, and that is what dulls plating, not age.
