Delicate Pink Petal Floral Earrings

Some earrings come off at the end of the day and some stay in for a week. These are the second kind. Five soft pink petals in a milled silver-tone frame, small enough that they disappear under hair and reappear when it moves.

The milling is worth a look. The frame around the petals is finished with a fine beaded edge rather than left smooth, an old technique borrowed from traditional silverwork, and it catches light in a row of tiny points around the outside of the flower. It gives a plain shape a border without adding size.

Silver plating and pink is a cooler combination than gold and pink, and it works better with everyday clothes. Denim, or plain cotton on a working day. A gold version of this earring would look dressed up. This one does not.

They are push-back studs, so pierced ears only. A stud this small tends to stay level through a long day where a heavier one tilts forward.

Clear cubic zirconia at the centre does the work of a diamond at a distance. The pink petals are the same stone, coloured. Nothing else in it.
