Silver-Plated Pink Leaf Studs

Two parts, stacked. A single round stone sits at the top, and below it an open leaf-shaped frame is filled with pink marquise stones and edged in tiny pavé, so the earring has a top and a body rather than being one flat shape.

The openwork is the reason it does not look cheap. Solid metal behind stones is what makes budget earrings read as budget. Cutting the frame open lets skin show through the leaf and gives the whole thing a lightness its size would not suggest.

Silver plating over brass gives the cool white finish, which suits the pink better than gold would. Warm metal pushes pink towards peach. Cool metal keeps it pink.

Pink and silver works harder in the evening than during the day. Wear them with a pastel suit, or with black, where the pink is the only colour in play.
