Red Solitaire Thread Ring
Garnet red is harder to get right than it looks. Too orange and it looks cheap. Too blue and it turns purple. This bezel-set stone lands in the deep middle, where the red still has some brown in it.
The band is the thinnest thing in the range. A hair-fine gold-plated thread ring with one small stone bezelled into it, which means the stone is held in a collar of metal rather than by claws. Bezels do not snag on clothing and they do not lose stones the way small prongs eventually do. The stone is cubic zirconia rather than any gemstone, and at this size the difference is invisible on the hand.
Red is the festive one of this set of four. It sits with red and maroon bangles without competing, and it holds its own against gold bangles on the same wrist, which a paler stone would not.
Thin rings like this are made to be worn in numbers. Two on one finger, or one each on three fingers, and the effect is deliberate rather than cluttered.
Stainless steel under the plating is why a band this thin does not bend out of round. That is the part you cannot see and the part that decides how long it lasts.
This piece is sold out. It is made in small batches, so it may return. The rest of the collection is on the Shop page.
