The word emerald in the name is doing colour work, not material work. The stone is green cubic zirconia cut as a baguette, and that is worth saying in the first line rather than the last.

What the green does have is depth. It reads as a proper forest green rather than the bright bottle green cheap stones usually land on, and against warm gold plating that darkness is what makes the ring look more expensive than it is. The band is finely textured, not polished, so the metal stays matte while the stone stays glassy.

Slim is the point. This gold-plated stacking ring is narrow enough to wear three at a time, and green is one of the easier colours to repeat down a finger without it turning into a costume.

Green also has a specific advantage in Indian wear. It sits with almost every traditional colour and it does not fight with mehendi, which is more than can be said for a clear stone in the same season.

Brass under gold plating wants to stay dry. Wipe it after a warm day and keep it out of a humid bathroom drawer, and the texture stays crisp instead of clogging with residue.
