Pink Tulip Bow Hair Clip

Organza and satin behave differently and this clip uses both. The bow is organza, the stiffer, slightly transparent fabric that holds a loop without drooping, and the two tulips trailing from the knot are satin, soft and shiny, on green ribbon stems.

That difference is why the bow keeps its shape all day. A satin bow collapses by afternoon. An organza one stands up to being sat against a chair back and pushed around by a dupatta.

It fixes with a metal alligator clip, the sprung kind with teeth, which grips fine hair better than a snap clip does. The tulips hang below the knot and move when the head does.

At this price it is close to an impulse buy, and it is the kind of thing that ends up in a handbag and eventually in somebody else's hair.

It is fabric, so keep it dry and press the bow flat under a book if it gets crushed in a bag.
